Past Exhibit: Reception for Lockhart exhibition

A reception will be held to at the WKP Kennedy Gallery July 12 to mark an exhibition of North Bay artist Jack Lockhart’s work.

Reflections of the North is a solo exhibition running from July 3 to 28.

The exhibition offers a variety of paintings in different art styles and media exploring the landscape of the North.

Lockhart has been painting for 40 years and is an internationally known Canadian painter. His work is found in private and corporate collections worldwide.

His versatility as an artist spans watercolor, acrylic and oil media, from realism to impressionism and beyond.

“To me the landscape is like a living being, constantly changing, constantly challenging you to bring it to life in an exciting and dynamic manner,” explains Lockhart.

“In order to accomplish what I want to do, I have developed a variety of artist styles, which allow me to capture the beauty in everything from a realistic setting to the abstract.”

Entrance to view the exhibition is free or by donation.
