This exhibition features local artists who are members of the NBAA and are showing a variety of styles and mediums of work, exploring different methods of each individual artists. Come and check out our 2020 Winter Exhibition. We hope to see you there !
Some of the art includes Janet Bourgeau’s Tranquility, Leah Symington’s Recondite I., who is the Chair of the NBAA , Diane Green’s Crowning Glory, and Denise Ribson’s The End of the Road.
The exhibition will also be honoring some of the stunning work of Carolyn Fink, born 12th July 1943, a North Bay Art Association member, who sadly passed away on December 23rd, 2019. Carolyn Fink was a talented artist from North Bay, she had worked with many different art mediums throughout her career, such as watercolour, pastel and other mediums. Her watercolour paintings currently on display in the gallery gives me a feeling of ease and calmness, thanks to her amazing techniques and her choices on colors. According to her fellow NBAA member’s Carolyn loved painting her favorite flower, the Lupine, and enjoyed doing Plein Air painting at her cottage in Algonquin Park. All of her dedications and her brilliant work she had created over the years and until the day she passed, are and will continue to be loved by many.
The opening reception for this exhibit will take place this Friday, February 21st from 6 – 8pm in the WKP Kennedy Gallery. The exhibition will remain on display until March 14th, 2020. The exhibition is free so be sure to come and show your support to the NBAA artists, everyone is welcomed to drop by and take a look, it will always be worth your time.
