Mid Winter Fun

By Dan Misturada, Interim Executive Director | February 01, 2021

And so another page of the calendar turns over and we look forward to the month of February!

As this lockdown continues, we can only remain optimistic as case numbers continue to decline and the rollout of the vaccine is on the horizon for our community. We are also every excited aboutall of the amazing things we at the Capitol Centre have been working on and will be bringing to you in the coming month!

Our Virtual calendar is filled with so many great experiences and activities including a weekly at home scavenger hunt, Valentine’s day contest, scrapbook memories and so much more!

We have also been busy in our WKP Kennedy Gallery and you can expect to see a bi-weekly Digizine loaded with fun and creative art projects, art history lessons via social media platforms, as well as a twice weekly art challenge called Make Art Essential.

We are also extremely excited to announce our North Bay Live Series featuring live double bill concerts right from the Capitol Centre Stage. We are so pleased to help showcase some amazing local artists during this special online concert series and provide a platform for artists at a time when so many of their usual opportunities have been taken away due to the pandemic.

The Capitol Centre is one of a small percentage of Performing Arts Centres in Ontario that continue to operate and work to provide cultivated entertainment in whatever way we can to be a positive distraction for our communities during this worrisome time.

The first concert takes place on Tuesday February 23rd at 8pm and features Jake Thomas and Caley Campbell live and free on our Facebook page.

We will continue to entertain and bring you engaging arts experiences as we all navigate the COVID-19 pandemic.

Stay tuned and Stay safe!
