Facebook Live Status Chat
Hello North Bay! Looks like some businesses are gradually opening up and we are excited for our sponsors, partners, and downtown neighbours who were able to ease back into the swing of things this past weekend – just in time for shadfly season it seems! After a few months of quarantine, I imagine the company will likely be welcomed … or is that stretching it? We’re not able to let our guard down quite yet but it is important to support our local businesses while following the recommended health guidelines and practices. I’m sure everyone is eager to spread their wings a bit but we’re counting on you to stay safe so we can make it to Phase 3 – when the Capitol Centre hopes to be able to resume some level of activity!
We are keeping a close eye on our counterparts in other provinces who are embarking upon their reopening plans. We are doing what we can now to ensure our eventual re-opening goes smoothly. Given recent announcements around a condensed season primarily in 2021, we anticipate there are a number of questions about how that will look and what the impact may be. We have decided to host a Facebook Live Status Chat during lunchtime on Thursday June 25th to address your questions and concerns and provide greater insight as to what we think the coming season will hold. We’d like your questions in advance, as much as possible, so please send us a message via Facebook, Instagram or email socialmedia@capitolcentre.org before Tuesday, June 23rd. We’ll do our best to answer your questions on Thursday, June 25 @ 12:30pm during our Facebook Live Town Hall.
While the last few months were not what anyone was expecting, we are so grateful for all the engagement, feedback and support we have received in response to our virtual programming. We plan to continue with virtual calendars until we are able to welcome everyone back to the Capitol Centre. We can still use your support – please consider liking, sharing, commenting and following us on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and don’t forget to sign up for our Arts Alive newsletter.
For those of you that are able, monetary donations will also really help us keep our historic building running so it is in tip top shape for the grand re-opening! You can donate online at capitolcentre.org/donate or leave us a message at 705-474-4747 and Jessie will be happy to call you back to help with a donation over the phone. As always, your support is what keeps arts alive and well in the North Bay area.
I hope everyone is doing well and staying safe.
