Spring Comes In Like a Lion
Spring sure came in like a lion! It’s a wild, wild world out there right now. And while we are certainly disappointed that our 2020 season had to end so abruptly, we are fortunate to be healthy and safe at home. Even though technology is sometimes referred to as a curse, we are lucky to have it in times like these. It allows us to stay connected with family and friends across the globe or across the street. It enables us to practice social distancing through online ordering and working remotely. And it helps us stay connected with you!
While our operations may look different during this period of social distancing, we are still focused on providing you with quality arts and entertainment and hope that you will check out our virtual April calendar on Facebook. We have a variety of ‘events’ planned for you to tune in to during your extended stay at home. Globally, there are a number of celebrities doing book readings, artists sharing their musical talents with living room concerts, and community members honouring and applauding our health care heroes around the world. While we will be sharing some of these links with you in April, we also realize that support for our local businesses, artists and heroes is needed now more than ever so we will have some hometown, North Bay content help you get through this unprecedented period in our lives.
It’s been heartwarming to note all the various art forms that have been such a relief to people, uplifting spirits and connecting us despite the physical space separating us all. When this is all over, I hope everyone remembers that the arts are not just a leisurely night out, but also a healing power for both the mind and spirit. We are eager to continue engaging with you at a distance and hope you will follow our social media channels to see what surprises we have planned with April’s virtual calendar! Stay safe!
