MEDIA RELEASE - Bluesfest Moves Indoors Due to Forecasted Rain

BLUESFEST MOVES INDOORS DUE TO FORECASTED RAIN
Environment Canada is forecasting rain on Saturday evening through Sunday which is exactly when Bluesfest concerts would be performing on the outdoor stage. All performances will now take place on the main stage inside the Betty Speers Theatre at the Capitol Centre. All ticketholders are being email-notified of the venue change.
- All tickets remain valid
- Patrons are free to sit with their friend-bubble in the theatre, safely distanced from others
- Tickets will be swapped for wrist bands so patrons can come and go as they like
- The bar will be open, but patrons are free to bring their own food
- Entrance to the event is via the front doors on Main Street
All required COVID safety protocols will be in place including:
- Mandatory mask-wearing when walking around – patrons may remove masks when seated
- Passive screening at entry point
- Physically distanced seating will be required in the theatre, however patrons may sit with their friend-bubbles as long as they are safely distanced from other people or groups
- Controlled entrance and exit – must enter via Main Street doors
- All areas of the Capitol Centre are sanitized daily
- Hand-sanitizing stations are available throughout
- Performer COVID-safety protocols are in place
