Call for Submission Deadline: Urban Indigi Nation
WE ARE LOOKING FOR INDIGENOUS ARTISTS INTERESTED IN PARTICIPATING IN THE 6TH ANNUAL NBIFC GROUP EXHIBITION HELD AT THE WKP KENNEDY GALLERY
The WKP Kennedy Gallery in partnership with the North Bay Indigenous Friendship Centre is seeking the proposal and submission of original exhibition projects and artwork created by local Indigenous artists/makers. This artwork will be exhibited in the gallery as part of the group exhibition, “URBAN Indigi NATION” on display from June 16th - August 4th, 2023.
The premise of this show is to celebrate growth and resilience of how Indigenous people demonstrate their culture and roots within an ever-evolving contemporary environment.
All creative people are welcome, with no prior exhibition experience necessary! This call for submissions encourages a variety of different works. All artistic techniques are eligible, ranging from installation concepts, immersive projects, digital and video based media, traditional and sculptural mediums, to makers of all kinds. Accepted submissions will be selected by a jury to determine the work displayed within the exhibit.
