The Capitol Centre, with the financial support of NOHFC, is offering the following one (1) year contract opportunity.

Eligibility: Northern Ontario secondary school graduates, 29 years or under, who recently graduated from an accredited college or university. Candidate must be dependable and have great attention to detail. Candidate must possess the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Analytical thinking is an asset. A passion for the Arts is essential.

Position Summary: As part of the Capitol Center team, the Curatorial & Research intern will aid in the development of a historical exhibit. Intern will be responsible for compiling data, retrieving and verifying information. Creating an inventory of historically important artifacts and information and ensuring safe and proper storage.

Salary: $25,000 per annum.

VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR INTERNSHIP

Candidate must have the ability to communicate effectively in person and in writing with co-workers and volunteers. Ability to problem solve quickly and effectively is an asset. Reliable and bondable with own transportation. A passion for the Arts is essential.

Position Summary: As part of the Capitol Center team, the Volunteer Coordinator will be required to maintain and recruit volunteers for the theatre, gallery and special events. In addition to attending staff meetings on a regular basis, the coordinator will be writing policy for volunteers, examining our reward program as well as completing the volunteer manual. You must have great communication skills in order to work with volunteers through recruitment and orientation including the interview process.

Salary: $25,000 per annum.
