The Capitol Centre is governed by a 14-member board, which includes
one elected City of North Bay councilor, one liaison for the North Bay
Symphony Orchestra, one liaison for the WKP Kennedy Art Gallery, and nine
citizens elected by the Board of the Capitol Centre and its membership.
Board members can be appointed for two consecutive terms after which they
must leave the board for one year before applying for re-appointment.
Board members are interviewed by the Nominating Committee to ensure it is a
good fit then their name is brought forward to the next Board meeting for a vote or Directors may be nominated from the floor at the AGM.

There are a number of Board committees including: Finance, Human Resources, Property & Operations, Sponsorship, WKP Kennedy Gallery and a number of ad hoc committees including the Wine Gala Committee, Galaxy Circle Committee and Golf Tournament Committee.

Everyone is welcome to apply for a position on the Capitol Centre’s board. Position are advertised in the paper and on the Capitol Centre’s website as they become available. The General Manager, who heads the Centre’s work force, reports to the board. Under the General Manager are approximately 7 full-time staff and as many as 30 part-time employees and up to 70 volunteers.
